Los Angeles is changing. And fast. Once conceived to be the domain of freeway signs, plastic surgeons, wannabe starlets and Hollywood executives, there’s been a creative explosion of late and now it’s brimming with talent- from cutting-edge new food scenes to beautiful restaurants, hipster dive bars to glamorous roof tops. The portrait of the city is dynamic, fresh and (of course) sunny most of the time. While the beach spots such as Santa Monica, Venice and Malibu stay breezy most of the year round, areas in-land – Pasadena, downtown, Hollywood- get very hot in the prime summer months. That said, there’s really no bad time of the year to visit the city as Quentin Crisp put it “Los Angeles is just New York lying down”.
