HOT DESIGN SPOTS IN tokyo

From its' cloud-brushing skyscrapers to the traditional Japenese wooden houses, Tokyo is an architectural city like no other. One of the most densely-packed urban centres on earth, we decided to ask Tokyo-born interior designer Kazuko Hoshino to help us navigate the hottest fashion boutiques and hidden cultural gems across the city. While Kazuko now lives and works in LA, alongside her husband architect William Hefner, it’s her love for travel that keeps her creatively inspired to transform some of the most glamorous homes in Hollywood. Borrowing her little black book of inspiration for Tokyo, we had to find out where to go for unrivaled cuisine, design, and culture when in town….

PRADA AOYAMA

When this store was first built there was nothing in the world like it. The architecture is just sensational. To me this is a classic beauty. Not only is the building stunning, the shopping experience is extraordinary. The staff kneels before you with your bill and escorts you to the door with your bags as you head out the door, they also bow to you to thank you for your purchase - truly luxurious.
