Bavel is the new 'it' restaurant in LA and the second must-eat eatery from the people behind Bestia.

LA is a city always looking for the next best thing, but Bestia, a rustic Italian and the dream of husband-&-wife duo Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis, has been practically impossible to get a reservation at since it first opened in 2010. Now Ori and Genevieve have turned their magic onto a new venture: Bavel. Converting an old warehouse in the increasingly cool Arts District, this time the food is Middle Eastern- think creamy garbanzo bean hummus, gourmet flatbreads, foie Gras halava, tangine and baba ghanoush. Like Bestia, it’s one of those places that you can’t really go wrong with whatever you order. It’s all scrumptious.
