A chic new hotspot with natural wines and classic French comfort food.

Frenchette, New York

This new French restaurant in Tribeca has a strong focus on natural wines, with over 300 organic varieties to choose from. While New York has no shortage of on-point French brasseries, from all-day fare like Balthazar to the elegant appeal of places like Le CouCou, what we love about Frenchette is that it’s designed to be a staple. There’s no formality, off-putting reserve or ‘try-hardness’ with the food. The chefs are long-term duo Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, who know how to do the all-day brasserie genre exceptionally well. They were two of the main men behind Balthazar, Pastis and Minetta Tavern, and Frenchette is up there with the best of them.
