From the owners of the equally buzzy Cafe Gratitude, Gracias Madre is an upscale plant-based Mexican restaurant and bar with beautiful interiors, a luxe courtyard and all kinds of healthy concoctions. The guacamole is fantastic, as are their famous barbecue jackfruit carnita tacos- praised for tasting just like pork. With all the ingredients sourced from local, sustainable and organic farms and Chef Chandra Gilbert coming from an esteemed background of vegan restaurants, you’d be forgiven for thinking it might be all a little too saintly but drinks are taken seriously here too. There are more than 100 tequilas and mezcals on the menu, and craft cocktails are works of art prepared with local produce, housemade syrups, shrubs, tinctures, and bitters.
