Gstaad's glitzy grande-dame hotel, this legendary ski palace attracts celebrities and the alpine fashion set the world over...

Gstaad Palace Hotel

The Gstaad Palace Hotel has been a winter playground for the international jetset crowd since the 1960’s and is rumoured to have the most luxurious 3 bedroomed penthouse suite ever built in an alpine resort. With decadent chandeliers, a La Fromagerie housed in a former Swiss gold vault, expensive carpets and a fleet of white-jacketed waiters, it all feels very James Bond (Roger Moore being just one of a very long list of celebrity patrons that have rested their heads here). Even London’s most spa-saavy Conde Nast girls swear the mountain spa is the best spot to be pampered (at altitude) in the world. From Lymph drainage to Biosaunas, shiatsu, reflexology or a blow-dry in their in-house hair salon, your every beauty whim is certainly catered for here. And there’s always a Finnish sauna, steam rooms and whirlpools to recuperate in post-schuss too.
