Henry Deane, Sydney

Decorated by Sydney’s own ‘it’ designer Sibella Court, Henry Deane (at the top of Hotel Palisade) offers beautiful city skyline vistas in a light and airy setting. Once the highest building in Sydney, Hotel Palisade opened in 2015 after a huge refurb. The Henry Deane is the absolute cherry on top. Originally used to lodge visiting British engineers involved in the construction of the neighbouring Harbour Bridge- the heritage site is now all shades of grey, blue and millennial pink. Go at sunset for a fresh cocktail and a jaw-dropping perspective.

LOCATION: Levels 4 and 5 of Hotel Palisade.
OPEN: Lunch and dinner with a menu of cocktails and share plates.
RESERVATIONS: Recommended although they keep covers for walk-ins.
NAME: Named after Henry Deane, the engineer and architect who designed the original hotel.
