Nomad Hotel, LA

L.A’s hotly-anticipated Nomad hotel is scheduled to open on January 21st and it promises to be one of the coolest new addresses in the downtown area. Two years in the making, the massive 1920’s building (that was once the headquarters for The Bank of Italy) has been fully restored and it marks the beginning of a new generation of luxury hotels in the city. With insiders saying the interiors are unlike anything in L.A to date, the brand has used Nomad New York’s designer, and legendary Parisian name, Jacques Garcia to restore and decorate. You can expect it to be full of his trademark design sensibility – think lots of dramatic touches and the building’s gold and blue Italianate lobby ceiling gleaming and revamped.
