A reimagined classic and a luxurious Manhattan sanctuary...

The Surrey, New York

Built in 1926 as a residence hotel, the original Surrey was home to many of New York’s most eccentric celebrities, such as JFK, Bette Davis, and Claudette Colbert. They were among the countless famous faces that fell in love the unique allure of The Surrey. In collaboration with acclaimed interior designer Lauren Rottet of Rottet Studio, the recreated Surrey maintains the timeless integrity of a true historical gem. Decorated in cool, understated in pale gray tones, each guestroom features a custom-designed bed with luxurious SFERRA® linens and Diptyque amenities. There’s a private rooftop for guests and friends of the hotel (where the likes of Tory Burch are regularly doing photo shoots).
